I want to say a huge thank you. Thank you for your support, your encouragement, for walking with me on this journey. As of last night just before midnight, we were #7 in the Amazon Hot New Releases in cultural anthropology, #39 in Hot New releases in Christian Social Issues, and also #88 in Bestsellers in cultural anthropology! That is because of you!!! Thank you all so very very much. It would be extra special to make it to #1 in cultural anthropology today, so please do keep it up with orders, etc., sharing on socials, leaving reviews on Goodreads—and after April 16, leave a review on Amazon. I stayed up past midnight watching Amazon to see when it will change from “preorder” to “available”. I’m not sure when it changed, because it wasn’t at midnight, but sometime later. : ) Super exciting day!!
But even so, I’m incredibly grateful to you. You all did this. This is beyond my expectations (the results), and this whole process of writing a book, too, is a complete gift. I hold it all with grateful and appreciative hands, and do not take it for granted.
Now my hope and prayer is that this book will do its good work out in the world and its words will reach those who need to hear.
So this is a thank you post. And a celebration post!!!
It’s a dream many years in the making (writing a book) and the book itself was also years in the making.
This week, now that you have the book in your hands, I need Amazon reviews (and Goodreads reviews). The goal is to have 25 reviews in the first week, to keep the amazon algorithms showcasing the book, so that would be awesome (And, if you don’t have the book, it can be ordered from your favorite retailer or request it at your library. : )

Planning Ahead!
This is a short post, because we’re celebrating and book launching. I’ll get back to writing regular things soon. Which leads me to a question: I’ve got lots I could write about. But as I plan ahead for the summer and upcoming months, I want to know what YOU want to read in this space? Comment below!
My book is about embracing our cultural, ethnic, and racial identities. My hope is to make this a resource and space useful for YOU when it comes to these big issues of belonging, identity, connection, community, cultural and ethnic identity, and the epidemic of loneliness and lack of social connection. What deep wounds do you have? What questions do you want answered? What intrigues you, burdens you, energizes you, plagues you? What questions and issues of belonging, and loneliness, and social connection do you want to discuss? I want to use this space for us to dive in these topics together. I’m thinking about all kinds of ideas: chats and other things…not ready to reveal yet what we’ll do (and I’m not sure yet), but I want to expand this space. So tell me, what do YOU want?
